Navigating NCHSAA.org

The NCHSAA is in the process of a major site overhaul; however there have been a large number of principals, athletic directors and coaches calling the association in reference to locating information that is posted on NCHSAA.org.   For this assignment I created Navigating NCHSAA.org to serve as a resource tool for newcomers to the site. Navigating NCHSAA.org is a new link posted on the NCHSAA homepage under “Get Involved.”

There was one major change that I had to make from the proposal I submitted last week.  I had to create a style guide for this new page that may differ from the style guide followed normally for the site.  The NCHSAA.org as a whole follow the AP Style Guide.  The unique nature of this page called for its own style guide in order to make sure it format was consistent.

Navigating NCHSAA.org Style Guide

•    All references to specific buttons and link on the site are hyperlinked
•    References to specific elements on a page are noted in quotation marks
•    Visuals are to be posted after text explanations
•    Selections narratives are to be in bold print
•    Questions in the FAQ format are bold print
•    Answers in the FAQ format are italic

Note:    Navigating NCHSAA.org was created under the constraints of the site’s current CMS.
